Friendly staff, always willing to help. The food was poor, very poor. I ordered "catch of the day", and there was almost no fish in the two portions of batter I was given. The peas were bad, almost like tinned peas. I didn't complain, because it was freezing outside, and the rain was torrential. I was glad to have somewhere warm to sit before I caught my train. The owners of this place just need to improve the quality of the menu, that's all. The decor was not to my taste, but we all have different tastes, so that's irrelevant. Some good, solid food that isn't bland and drab is all it will take to turn this place around.
Beautiful food and lovely staff. Taking my mother anywhere for food is a nightmare as she's a very fussy eater but she enjoyed everything as well. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic pub. I love this place! Family run with a genuinely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Their pub grub is great too and way better than chain-pub rubbish you get at most places. Also. In the summer the beer garden is a absolutely stunner. Go here.
