Fantastic wine and Robb has great knowledge that is always interesting to listen to. The fortified 1581 wine is superb!
This was a great find.... spotted it while driving past and called in for a browse only to end up having a cheese board each.... a bottle of wine.... and purchased some chutney too. The owners are lovely and made us feel very welcome. Definitely worth a visit... we will be back.
Always a highlight of our holiday! We plan out itineraries at the weekends (they're only open to the public at weekends and Bank Holidays) so that we can visit and enjoy a bottle and a cheeseboard. Owners Rob & Nicola are so friendly, and are always happy to share their story, and are so welcoming to our young daughters as well. Our favourites of their wine are the Gwyn Gwin and Siegerrebe, but do the tasting to find your own. We were there last weekend, and look forward to returning to experience the whites from this year's bumper harvest, helped by the abundant sunshine the vines have soaked up.
This is a hidden gem, we stumbled across White Castle Vineyard and the lovely owners. We loved the wine, and have sampled a few bottles. We currently have some waiting for our Wedding. Highly recommend this vineyard, some of the best white wine we have ever had - beats Australian Vineyards!
We discovered White Castle Vineyard while driving to visit the nearby White Castle on a weekend excursion from the Cotswalds. The vineyard is not large. Think quality over quantity. I enjoyed the vineyard tour, wine tasting, and talking with Rob more than I did visiting the White Castle (which was pretty cool to visit). The wine was good. I definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. Make it a stop on your Welsh wine visit. Rob also recommended the nearby 1861 restaurant. His taste in wine seems to be as good as his taste in restaurants.
