Abergavenny has a very good community and this church has the historic ambiance of the lovely Market Town.

This is a fascinating and friendly priory church in the centre of Abergavenny. 'The Westminster Abbey of South Wales'. It has a rather infamous ring of 10 bells in its Tower - the finest in Christendom, some say. The bellringers practice on Mondays. There's a light-filled chapel full of tombs and a huge carved wooden Jesse figure, which is strange but impressive. The nave is Victorian, but parts of the Benedictine priory date back to medieval times. Father Mark and Father Tom are truly welcoming, supported by many knowledgable volunteers, and there seems to be lots going on.
